Who needs it?
Anyone who provides a professional service such as accountants, attorneys, medical professionals, even consultants. A commercial general liability policy does not protect against claims of negligence, malpractice or misrepresentation.

What is Professional Liability Insurance?
Sometimes called Errors and Omissions insurance, this will protect against claims of negligence, it could be something you did or didn't do.
We all strive to do our best when providing services to clients, however, mistakes can happen, even if it's not your fault.
Examples include:
- unintentional oversight
- a misunderstanding
- poor documentation
- miscommunication
- missed deadlines
Professional Liability policies are usually provided on a claims made basis. This means the coverage only applies to claims that are made during the actual policy period (as opposed to an occurrence based policy), unless you have prior acts coverage.
